How to share blog posts from RSS to LinkedIn and X Plus Bluesky, Threads and Facebook
Use a workflow that watches your feed and posts each new article: n8n’s RSS trigger sends it to Upload-Post, which publishes to LinkedIn with a real preview card, to X with a shorter version, and to Bluesky, Threads and Facebook. A static site can do the same from GitHub Actions. Most older RSS guides broke when X moved to paid API access.
RSS Feed Trigger: https://yourblog.com/rss.xml (every 15 min)
└─ AI step (optional): one post per network from the excerpt
└─ Upload-Post: Upload Text
platforms: linkedin, x, bluesky, threads, facebook
linkedin: page "Acme" + link preview card
x: short version
Idempotency-Key: item GUID Why older RSS-to-social setups stopped working
Four changes most guides still miss, read on each company’s own pages on 24 October 2026.
X charges per API post
Pay per use: $0.015 per post, $0.200 for a post with a link, on X’s own price list. Old “free tier” guides no longer apply.
Zapier’s X integration stopped
Zapier says its Twitter integration stopped working on 31 August 2023, so old RSS-to-X Zaps fail.
LinkedIn does not build link previews for apps
Its Posts API does not fetch the page: the app must send the title, description and thumbnail, so many tools post a bare link.
Buffer has no RSS auto-posting
Its help center sends you to Zapier, with one Zap per channel.

Set it up with n8n and Upload-Post
About 20 minutes. n8n is free to self-host, or use n8n Cloud.
- 1
Connect LinkedIn, X and the rest in Upload-Post
Create a free account at app.upload-post.com and connect each network with its own login. Approve your company pages on LinkedIn if you post as a page.
- 2
Watch the feed
In n8n, add the RSS Feed Trigger with your feed URL and a polling interval (15 minutes is plenty for a blog). It only emits items it has not seen.
- 3
Write one post per network (optional)
Add an AI step that turns the title and excerpt into a LinkedIn post, a short X post and a Bluesky post, or keep one template for all.
- 4
Post with Upload-Post
Use the Upload-Post node’s Upload Text operation: the post text, the article URL as the link preview (LinkedIn, Bluesky and Facebook show a card), your LinkedIn page if you post as a company, and a shorter version for X.
- 5
Guard against repeats
Send the item’s GUID as the Idempotency-Key, so a retry never posts the same article twice, and post only the newest item the first time the workflow runs.
Node setup: n8n integration guide. Field reference: text posts. On a static site, run the same logic on a schedule with GitHub Actions.
LinkedIn: profile or page, with a preview
Pass the article URL as the link, not inside the text, and LinkedIn shows a card with the title, description and image. To post as a company, name the page; you need the Super admin or Content admin role on it.
Step by step: post to a LinkedIn company page via API.
X: short text, link if you want it
Send a shorter version for X (280 characters on free accounts). X prices API posts with a link at $0.200 against $0.015 without one; Upload-Post’s X Links add-on ($19 a month, 50 link posts) covers them. Otherwise, make the X post a teaser and let LinkedIn and Bluesky carry the link.
Details: X Links add-on.
RSS to social media: frequently asked questions
Can LinkedIn post from an RSS feed on its own?
No. LinkedIn has no RSS import for posts. You need an automation that reads the feed and calls LinkedIn’s API, such as n8n or Zapier, and a posting service that builds the link preview, such as Upload-Post.
Why does my LinkedIn post have no preview or image?
LinkedIn’s Posts API does not fetch the page for apps; the app has to send the title, description and image. Upload-Post builds that preview card from the article URL you pass as the link.
Can I post to a LinkedIn company page from RSS?
Yes, if you are a Super admin or Content admin of the page. Connect LinkedIn in Upload-Post with page access and set the page in the posting step.
Is there a free way to auto-post RSS to X?
Not through X’s own API, which is pay per use: $0.015 per post and $0.200 for a post with a link. n8n is free to self-host and Upload-Post has a free plan, so the tools cost nothing to start.
Why did my Zapier RSS-to-Twitter Zap stop?
Zapier says its Twitter integration stopped working on 31 August 2023. Rebuild the flow with n8n or Make and a posting service such as Upload-Post.
Can I include the article link on X?
Yes. X prices API posts with a link higher than plain ones, and Upload-Post’s X Links add-on ($19 a month, 50 link posts) covers it. Otherwise write the X version as a teaser and let LinkedIn and Bluesky carry the link.
How often should the feed be checked?
Every 15 to 60 minutes is enough for a blog. Shorter intervals only add runs, since a new article appears a few times a week at most.
How do I avoid reposting old articles?
The n8n RSS trigger remembers what it has seen. On the first run, keep only the newest item, and send the item GUID as the Idempotency-Key so retries do not post twice.
