How to post to LinkedIn with Claude Your profile and your company page

Claude cannot reach LinkedIn on its own: it needs a connector that holds your LinkedIn connection. Add Upload-Post as a connector, sign in once, and ask Claude to publish or schedule posts on your profile or on any company page you manage, through LinkedIn’s official API.

Connect LinkedIn to a free Upload-Post account

Sign up at app.upload-post.com (no card) and connect LinkedIn with LinkedIn’s own login. Approve access to your pages too if you want to post as a company.

Add Upload-Post to Claude

In Claude, open Customize, then Connectors, click + Add, then Add custom connector, paste the URL and click Continue. On a paid plan you can install the Upload-Post plugin instead. On Team and Enterprise, an owner adds it first under Organization settings.

Sign in once

Claude opens the Upload-Post sign-in page. Approve it and Claude can see your profiles and their connected accounts, LinkedIn pages included.

Ask Claude to post

“Post this to LinkedIn on our company page tomorrow at 9:00 London time, with the link to the launch article.” Claude lists your pages, picks the one you named, shows you the post and publishes or schedules it.

Posting as your company page

LinkedIn lets an app post for a page only when the person who connected it can post on that page. That means the Super admin or Content admin role. Claude asks Upload-Post for the pages your account can manage, and you pick one by name: “post this on the Acme page”.

Ways to get Claude onto LinkedIn

Some guides say apps cannot post to LinkedIn. They can, through the official API with the right permissions.

When Claude will not post to LinkedIn

The problems people hit first, and the fix for each.

Your company page is not listed

Check that you are a Super admin or Content admin of the page, then reconnect LinkedIn in Upload-Post and approve page access.

LinkedIn answers 403

The account lacks the page role or the page access was not granted. Reconnect LinkedIn after your role is fixed.

The link shows no preview

Ask Claude to attach the link as the post’s link preview rather than pasting it in the text, or put it in the first comment.

Claude cannot open your video

On claude.ai, give it a public link (Drive, Dropbox, S3). Claude Code can upload a file from your disk.

The post went out at the wrong hour

Say the timezone (“9:00 London time”); Claude passes it as an IANA name such as Europe/London.

LinkedIn asks you to reconnect

LinkedIn tokens expire. Ask Claude for a connect link and reconnect in one click; scheduled posts keep their place.

Can Claude post to LinkedIn for me?

Yes, through a connector that holds your LinkedIn connection. With Upload-Post you add https://mcp.upload-post.com/mcp as a custom connector (or install the plugin on a paid plan), sign in once and ask Claude to publish or schedule posts. It uses LinkedIn’s official API.

Can Claude post to my LinkedIn company page?

Yes, if you are a Super admin or Content admin of the page. Connect LinkedIn in Upload-Post with page access, then name the page in your request; Claude lists your pages and posts as the one you chose.

Is posting with Claude against LinkedIn’s rules?

Not through the official API. Upload-Post posts with LinkedIn’s Posts API and the permissions LinkedIn grants for that. Tools that click around in your logged-in browser work outside that API, which is a different thing.

Can Claude post PDF carousels, images, video and polls?

Images, video and PDF or slide documents (shown as swipeable document posts) work from Claude. Polls are available through the Upload-Post REST API with a question and 2 to 4 options.

Can Claude schedule LinkedIn posts?

Yes. Give a date, time and timezone, or ask it to use your posting queue. You can list, move or cancel scheduled posts from the same chat, and they appear in the Upload-Post calendar.

Does it work on Claude’s Free plan?

Yes. Custom connectors work on every Claude plan, and the Free plan allows one. The Upload-Post plugin, which adds ready-made skills, needs a paid Claude plan.

Can Claude write the post in my voice first?

Yes. Paste a few of your past posts or describe your style, ask for a draft, edit it in the chat and then ask Claude to publish the final version.

Does Claude see my LinkedIn password?

No. You connect LinkedIn on LinkedIn’s own login page inside Upload-Post, and Claude signs in to Upload-Post with OAuth. Claude only calls the publishing tools.

Does it work in Claude Code and Cowork?

Yes. The same connector works in Claude, Cowork and the desktop app; in Claude Code you add it with claude mcp add and sign in with /mcp.
