LinkedIn API Pricing
The LinkedIn API has no public price tag. LinkedIn does not publish a subscription price list for its marketing and community-management APIs: access is granted through developer-program applications and partner review, so what a LinkedIn integration actually costs you is the review cycle and the engineering time, not a monthly fee. Budget for app creation, verification by a Page admin, requesting the right products and scopes, and keeping tokens refreshed.

LinkedIn API pricing: the small print
The caveats the price table hides: what the headline number does not cover, and what pushes the bill up.
- There is no published LinkedIn API price list, so we are not quoting a figure. Anyone who shows you a LinkedIn API "plan price" is quoting a reseller or a middleware vendor, not LinkedIn.
- The first blocker is administrative, not technical: you create a developer app, associate it with a LinkedIn Page, and an admin of that Page has to verify the app before you can request anything.
- The second blocker is product access. Posting on behalf of a member needs the corresponding product and scope enabled on your app; a scope such as w_member_social is the usual example. Capabilities beyond basic sharing generally require applying to a partner or developer program and passing LinkedIn’s review.
- The third blocker is tokens. LinkedIn access tokens expire, so a production integration needs refresh handling and a plan for what happens when a user’s authorisation lapses.
- Timelines are outside your control. Program reviews take as long as they take, which is the part that wrecks roadmaps more often than the code does.
- We are deliberately describing programs and scopes generically where we are not certain of the current names — LinkedIn renames and reorganises its developer products, so verify the exact product, scope and program names in LinkedIn’s own developer documentation before you build.
What the same thing costs on Upload-Post
One profile is one account on every one of the 22 supported platforms, and the API is included on every plan, Free included.
The shortcut is that somebody else already went through the review. Upload-Post holds the approved LinkedIn app, so posting to personal profiles and to company Pages works through a single endpoint with no app creation, no Page verification and no program application on your side — and it is available from the Free plan, which is $0 forever with 10 uploads a month, 2 profiles and full API access, no card. Unlimited posting starts at $24/month on Basic ($16/month on annual billing) with 5 profiles, and the same endpoint covers the other 21 platforms, so LinkedIn stops being a separate integration project. The honest limitation: this is a publishing integration. If your product needs LinkedIn ad management, lead-gen forms or deep marketing data, you still have to go through LinkedIn’s own programs — no third party can hand you access it does not have.
| Upload-Post plan | Monthly | Annual (per mo) | Uploads | Profiles |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Free | $0 | $0 | 10 uploads/mo | 2 |
| Basic | $24/mo | $16/mo | Unlimited | 5 |
| Professional | $50/mo | $33/mo | Unlimited | 25 |
| Advanced | $147/mo | $118/mo | Unlimited | 75 |
| Business | $438/mo | $350/mo | Unlimited | 225 |
The Free plan is free forever, no card, with API access included.

LinkedIn API pricing FAQ
The questions people actually search for, answered with the numbers above.
How much does the LinkedIn API cost?
LinkedIn does not publish a price for its developer APIs, and we are not going to invent one. There is no subscription page for the marketing or community-management APIs. The real cost is the application and review cycle, plus the engineering time to build OAuth, token refresh and error handling.
Is the LinkedIn API free to use?
There is no public fee for basic developer access, but "free" is misleading: access is conditional on approval. You create an app, have it verified by an admin of the associated LinkedIn Page, and request the specific products and scopes you need. Anything beyond basic sharing usually means applying to a program and passing review.
What do you need to post to LinkedIn through the API?
At minimum: a LinkedIn developer app, verification of that app by an admin of the associated Page, the product that grants member posting enabled on it (a scope such as w_member_social), an OAuth flow, and token refresh handling. Names and product groupings change, so confirm the current ones in LinkedIn’s developer documentation.
How long does LinkedIn API approval take?
LinkedIn sets the timeline and does not guarantee one. That uncertainty, rather than any fee, is the usual reason teams look for a third-party posting API: it turns an open-ended review into an integration you can ship this week.
Can you post to LinkedIn without your own approved app?
Yes, through a provider that already holds one. Upload-Post has the approved LinkedIn app, so posting to personal profiles and company Pages runs through one endpoint from the Free plan onwards, with no application process on your side. Ad management and marketing data still require LinkedIn’s own programs.
Test the full API before paying anything
Upload-Post's Free plan is a real plan, not a trial: 10 uploads a month, forever, with API access to 22 platforms and no credit card. Upgrade when you outgrow it.
