YouTube Shorts Scheduler Queue Shorts and long-form uploads in advance

Render on Monday, publish on Thursday. Upload-Post schedules YouTube Shorts and full-length videos with the title, description, tags, privacy status and subtitle tracks already attached, so nothing waits on you being at the keyboard.

What you can schedule on YouTube

These are the YouTube post types you can queue up in advance. Everything listed here is what the YouTube integration actually publishes — nothing is planned or coming soon.

YouTube Shorts

Queue vertical short-form videos from a file or a public URL. One caveat worth knowing up front: YouTube does not accept custom thumbnails on Shorts.

Long-form videos

Schedule standard uploads the same way, with a full description, a tag list and a category. Custom thumbnails work here.

Custom thumbnails

Attach a thumbnail as a file or a public URL on standard videos. JPG, PNG, GIF or BMP, up to 2 MB. Not supported on Shorts.

Subtitle tracks

Upload subtitles in several languages with the video, in SRT, VTT, SBV, SUB, ASS, SSA, TTML or DFXP, each tagged with a BCP-47 language code.

The full field-by-field reference lives on the YouTube platform page.

How YouTube scheduling works

Four steps, all inside the dashboard. No plugins, no browser extension, no phone reminder at 7am.

Step 1

Connect YouTube

Authorize the channel once from the dashboard. One profile holds one YouTube channel.

Step 2

Upload the video

Add the Short or the long-form file. The AI Shorts Uploader can draft the title, description and hashtags from the video itself.

Step 3

Fill in the metadata

Title, description, tags, category and privacy status. Add a thumbnail and subtitle tracks if the format allows it.

Step 4

Schedule or queue it

Pick an exact date and time, or send it to the posting queue and let it take the next free slot.

YouTube options you set when you schedule

A scheduled post keeps every YouTube option a manual post has. You set them once, when you queue it.

Title and description, with a YouTube-specific title that overrides the shared one
Tag list on the upload
Video category (People & Blogs by default)
Privacy status: public, unlisted or private
Custom thumbnail on standard videos (JPG, PNG, GIF or BMP, up to 2 MB)
Subtitle tracks in several languages, each with a BCP-47 code
Made-for-kids declaration for COPPA
Synthetic or AI-generated media declaration

What does a YouTube scheduler cost here?

Nothing to start. YouTube is included in the Free plan: 10 scheduled posts a month, 2 profiles, scheduling, analytics and 30 minutes of FFmpeg video processing, free forever, no credit card. Basic is $24/month ($16/month billed annually) for unlimited posts and 5 profiles.

Publishing a Short to YouTube and mirroring it to Instagram counts as separate posts against the free 10 a month. If you repurpose one video across networks, Basic pays for itself quickly.

Set the upload date once, then forget it

Connect a channel, queue your Shorts with titles, tags and subtitles already in place, and let them publish on schedule.

YouTube scheduling FAQ

The questions people actually ask before they connect an account.

Can I schedule YouTube Shorts and regular videos?

Yes, both. Vertical Shorts and long-form uploads go through the same scheduling flow: pick the file, fill in the metadata, choose a date and time. The only format difference is that YouTube does not accept custom thumbnails on Shorts.

Can I schedule a video as private and make it public later?

You set the privacy status on the scheduled upload: public, unlisted or private. Scheduling a private upload and flipping it in YouTube Studio later is a common pattern for launches where the exact publish moment matters.

Is the YouTube scheduler free?

Yes, on the Free plan: 10 scheduled posts a month across every connected network, 2 profiles, no credit card, free forever. Basic at $24/month ($16/month billed annually) removes the monthly cap and gives you 5 profiles.

Can I add subtitles to a scheduled upload?

Yes. Subtitle files travel with the video, in SRT, VTT, SBV, SUB, ASS, SSA, TTML or DFXP, and you can attach several languages to the same upload. Each track carries a BCP-47 language code and an optional display name.
